Verticalizer VZN R-Stand

The R-Stand verticalizer is a system for passive verticalization and lower limb training. This system is installed in intensive care units for the early activation of patients and in medical rehabilitation departments and centers to work with patients in the early stages of rehabilitation and in a palliative status. The system allows for the safe verticalization of patients under constant control of hemodynamic parameters and the conduct of passive mechanotherapy of the lower limbs with physiological loading on the feet. Patients can be securely fastened with the help of a support stand and straps. The angle of inclination of the verticalizer, the feet, and the ankles can be adjusted as needed. Standing in a vertical position allows the patient to perceive the action of gravity, stimulate proprioceptors, reflexively activate the nervous center, improve balance, blood circulation in the lower limbs, muscle tone, and so on, to achieve a therapeutic effect.

Passive verticalization using a verticalizer is recommended in the acute phase of cerebral circulation disorders or traumatic brain injury. This method allows avoiding complications of the PІT syndrome, such as orthostatic insufficiency and disturbance of the gravitational gradient, which facilitates a faster transition to the next stage of rehabilitation.

Thanks to the built-in lower limb mechanotherapy device, the system is a training tool aimed at maintaining motor functions, as well as restoring joint mobility and physical endurance after surgery, injuries, or diseases accompanied by prolonged hypodynamia.

Indications:

• rehabilitation after total hip and knee joint replacement.

The verticalizer allows starting physiological training in the early recovery period. Walking simulation activates peripheral blood circulation and respiratory function and promotes the recovery of proprioceptive functions in lower limb segments.
